Privacy Policy

MyPickleballBio is a pickleball profile and tag service. This policy describes how we handle information when you visit this website, join our waitlist, create a profile, or contact a player through a tag.

Information we collect

For the waitlist, we collect your email address, optional first name, signup time, and the version of the signup consent. Joining the waitlist does not create a player account.

For player accounts, we collect your email address and the profile information you choose to provide, such as your name, photo, bio, home court, rating, availability, and links. We also store tag identifiers, ownership, and related account activity.

When a tag is scanned, we record the tag, time, and available device or country information for scan statistics. If you send a found-bag message, we process the message and any reply details you provide. We use a hashed IP address to help limit repeated messages. Our hosting and service providers may process IP addresses, device information, and technical logs to deliver and secure the service.

What is public

Your player profile and the information you add to it are public. Anyone with a profile or tag link may view and share them. Random identifiers do not make a profile private. Avoid adding sensitive information, your home address, or anything you do not want shared publicly.

Your account email and waitlist signup are not displayed publicly. Found-bag messages go to the tag owner. If you include your email or phone number in a message, the owner can see it.

How we use information

We use information to maintain accounts and tags, display profiles, deliver sign-in links and found-bag messages, show scan statistics, prevent abuse, and respond to requests. With your waitlist signup, we use your email to send launch and availability updates. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Service providers

We use OpenAI Sites and its hosting infrastructure to serve the website, Supabase for account authentication, database and file storage, and Resend for email delivery. These providers process information as needed to operate the service. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where providers operate. External links on player profiles lead to services with their own privacy policies.

Campaign and QR analytics

When you open a campaign link or a QR link at /join, we record its source, campaign, creative version, opening time, page path, referring website hostname, and a broad device and browser category. We use first-party cookies containing random identifiers to estimate visitors for up to 90 days and connect visits within a 30-minute session. If you join the waitlist during that session, we connect your signup to the most recent campaign visit so we can measure which campaigns are useful. We do not store your IP address in our campaign analytics or use browser fingerprinting.

Campaign records are accessible only to authorized administrators and are deleted after 180 days. This does not remove your waitlist signup. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for campaign tracking. You can also block or clear first-party cookies in your browser, which may reduce the accuracy of our counts.

Browser storage

The app uses browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your appearance preference. Our app does not use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers. Hosting providers may use storage or cookies needed for access and security.

Your choices and retention

You can edit your public profile and use the account deletion option in the app. To leave the waitlist, request access or correction, or ask us to delete information, email lh@tsl.io. We may need to verify that a request relates to your information.

We retain information while it is needed for the purpose described here, including operating your account or waitlist signup, responding to requests, and addressing security or legal obligations. Backups and provider logs may remain for their normal retention periods. Applicable privacy rights vary by location.

Children and security

The service is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
